Mount Albert Grammar School Activities & Accomplishments

During my time at MAGS I was took part in a wide range of academic, sporting and service activities, from being a Prefect to wins in local and national running/orienteering championships. I was the captain of the distance running squad, member of the Chess club and active member of the orienteering club.

I graduated in 2012 as the Best All Round Boy and Proxime Accessit, securing 4 NZQA scholarships in Calculus, Statistics, Physics and English, and secured entry to study a BE(Hons)/BSc at UoA.

 

Current Position & Interests

I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Queen Mary University of London, where I focus on the discovery and characterisation of new young exoplanets. I have previously worked at the Universities of Geneva and Warwick (where I completed my PhD) within academia, and at Rocket Lab and Fisher & Paykel healthcare in industry.

Outside of work I am a keen runner, tramper and traveller, and even have been known to do a bit of extreme ironing!
